ANALYSIS: Things weren't pretty for the Carolina Panthers in the season opener as the team lost 47-10 to the New Orleans Saints. There wasn't even really a bright spot for the offense. But there was some reason to think wide receiver Xavier Legette has fantasy upside.
In the loss, Legette led the team in targets with seven, outpacing Adam Thielen and Diontae Johnson in that regard. Thielen ranked just fourth on the team in targets. Legette finished with four catches for 35 yards in his NFL debut.

If the Panthers stop using Jonathan Mingo and David Moore as much as they did on Sunday, Legette will have deep-league PPR appeal. He only played 59% of the team's snaps, but no receiver played more than 69%. If Moore and Mingo's snap rates drop lower and Legette's rise, there's intrigue here.
