Fantasy Football Trade Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider trading for or trading away heading into Week 8:
AJ Brown, WR, Eagles
Trade Value: 61.7
ROS Rank: 28
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown caught four of his six targets for 121 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's Week 7 win over the Minnesota Vikings. The 28-year-old has found his groove as a big-play threat lately, totaling 15 catches and 244 yards over his last three contests.
He was one of several benefactors during this week's strong offensive performance. The passing game found plenty of life as Brown and DeVonta Smith combined for 13 catches, 304 yards, and three touchdowns. This duo will look to build on its momentum when facing a surging Giants squad in Week 8. Brown is a fringe top-12 fantasy receiver at the moment.
Verdict: Sell high if possible, hold if not
J.K. Dobbins, RB, Broncos
Trade Value: 34.7
ROS Rank: 67
Denver Broncos running back J.K. Dobbins rushes 14 times for 81 yards while losing a yard on one catch on the day as the Broncos exploded in the fourth quarter, scoring 33 points in Sunday's 33-32 comeback win against the New York Giants. Dobbins has been able to showcase solid production for the Broncos' rushing attack despite lacking a touchdown in the past couple of weeks.
Rookie running back RJ Harvey was getting more work than usual early on in the game, but Dobbins stepped in to give the Broncos some sparks as the game went on, and he would eventually out-carry Harvey 14-4 on the day. In what could be a Week 8 shootout as the Broncos face the Dallas Cowboys at home, Dobbins should continue to provide RB2 value with upside.
Verdict: Buy for a fair price if you still can
Courtland Sutton, WR, Broncos
Trade Value: 52.6
ROS Rank: 38
Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton led the team in receiving yards with 87 as the team stunned the New York Giants in an astonishing fourth quarter comeback in Sunday's 33-32 win. He caught six passes for 87 yards in Sunday's victory. Sutton flashed some great chemistry with quarterback Bo Nix as they connected for a few big plays in the Sunday afternoon window with receptions for 22 yards, 32 yards, and a key two-point conversion after the Broncos scored their first touchdown.
Just before that two-point conversion on that touchdown play, Sutton was the primary target, only to have the ball ricochet off the defender's hands into Troy Franklin's for the touchdown. Sutton and Franklin would end up tied for targets on the day, but Sutton significantly outproduced him on Sunday. In what could be a shootout versus Dallas next week, Sutton should continue to be a confidence builder for lineups.
Verdict: Buy for a fair price if you still can
Quinshon Judkins, RB, Browns
Trade Value: 50.3
ROS Rank: 42
Cleveland Browns rookie running back Quinshon Judkins carried the ball 25 times for 84 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns during Sunday's Week 7 win over the Miami Dolphins. He was not targeted in the passing game. Judkins' yardage efficiency (3.4 YPC) was nothing special, but that's a moot point when you look at his touchdown efficiency. The rookie had a great opportunity to thrive this week against a Dolphins defense that has struggled to defend the run all year.
Miami's offensive woes also helped Judkins, giving the ball back to Cleveland's offense quite often. Judkins certainly capitalized on his opportunities and now has double-digit fantasy points (PPR) in five of his six games. He should be viewed as a low-end RB1 heading into Week 8 against the New England Patriots.
Verdict: Consider buying high if you need a must-start RB
Fantasy Football Trade Rankings Values
The higher the Trade Value number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Find your players, add up the trade values of each side of the offer, and see which side of the trade wins.
Who Should I Trade For?
Week 8 Trade Decisions. Today's focus is on specific players - A.J. Brown, Rico Dowdle, J.K. Dobbins, Quinshon Judkins, Courtland Sutton, Jordan Mason. These are some key fantasy football names heading into this week's matchups.
Using The Trade Values. This is a simple trade value tool, but very powerful. In our fantasy football trade value rankings above, you will see the Trade Value for each player. The higher the number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Players with a high trade value number are players that you should be targeting more in trades.
How It Works. Each week, our RotoBaller staff puts together their weekly fantasy football rankings, projections, and trade values based on their research. That information is the core data that is powering the decision-making in this trade value rankings.
How To Calculate Trades. Fantasy football managers will make 1-for-1 trades, or 2-for-3 trades, or 3-for-2 trades, or many other combinations. For each side of the deal, add the trade values together. Whichever side has a higher total number wins the trade. For example, if someone is offering you three players, add the trade values of those three players together. Does the value of those three players exceed the values of the player(s) you are trading away? If so then it's a good deal for you.
