Fantasy Football Trade Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider trading for or trading away heading into Week 10:
Breece Hall, RB, Jets
Trade Value: 59.8
ROS Rank: 30
New York Jets running back Breece Hall has been the subject of trade rumors over the last few weeks. Given the state of the Jets team, it's not shocking to see them considering trading Hall. The Jets are sitting with one win, and Hall is in the final year of his rookie deal.
Despite that, Hall is unlikely to be traded unless the Jets get blown away with an offer. The 24-year-old has rushed for 581 yards with two touchdowns on the ground.
If he's traded, Isaiah Davis figures to handle the bulk of the Jets for the rest of the season. However, most organizations are unlikely to give up a ton for a soon-to-be free agent.
Verdict: Buy-low candidate coming off a bye week, especially if he's not likely to be traded
RJ Harvey, RB, Broncos
Trade Value: 25.4
ROS Rank: 91
Denver Broncos rookie running back RJ Harvey steals the show again in what was another fourth-quarter comeback against the Houston Texans in Sunday's 18-15 win. Despite being out-touched by backfield mate J.K. Dobbins 16 to seven, Harvey would get one of the team's only two touchdowns on the day with a crucial 27-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter.
Harvey would produce 51 receiving yards on five catches and a touchdown, while adding two carries for five yards as well. Harvey is becoming more dependable for the Broncos as his efficiency is shining through in his rookie season.
With a clear nose for the endzone after scoring his fifth touchdown in three weeks, Harvey will continue to be a healthy RB3/ flex play with touchdown upside against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 10.
Verdict: Buy for a fair value if possible; don't overpay since he's still the change-of-pace back in Denver
Puka Nacua, WR, Rams
Trade Value: 90.9
ROS Rank: 4
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (rib) is scheduled to have a scan for the rib injury that he suffered in Sunday's blowout win over the New Orleans Saints, according to head coach Sean McVay. The Rams said on Sunday that Nacua could have come back into the game, but they were being overly cautious with the game already in hand.
McVay said he feels "optimistic... in regard to where we're potentially heading." It sounds as though the Rams are expecting the 24-year-old to be ready for a big divisional game in Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers, but we won't know for sure until later this week.
Although Nacua was injured in Week 9, he still managed to produce for his fantasy managers before departing, catching seven of his eight targets for 95 yards and a touchdown in the 34-10 victory. If Nacua is active in Week 10, he'll be a must-start against San Fran's banged-up defense.
Verdict: Buy low if you still can, especially given his recent injury issues and Week 10 status in question
Rico Dowdle, RB, Panthers
Trade Value: 35.8
ROS Rank: 65
Carolina Panthers running back Rico Dowdle had 25 rushing attempts, 130 rushing yards, and two rushing touchdowns during Sunday's Week 9 win over the Green Bay Packers. He also caught two of his three targets for an additional 11 receiving yards. Dowdle was named the official lead back ahead of this week's game, and he wasted no time confirming the coaching staff made the right decision with his role.
He averaged at least 4.65 yards per carry for the fifth consecutive week, bringing his season total to 5.61 YPC. After being somewhat of a non-factor through the first four weeks of the season, Dowdle has suddenly emerged as a potential league-winner in fantasy football.
The former Cowboy is the RB3 in PPR leagues over the last five weeks, as well as the overall RB9 over the full nine weeks since the season began. He has a firm grasp on the No. 1 role in Carolina and should be deployed as a strong RB1 option in fantasy football ahead of next week's game against the New Orleans Saints.
Verdict: Buy for a fair price if possible; he's poised to take over this backfield in the second half
Fantasy Football Trade Rankings Values
The higher the Trade Value number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Find your players, add up the trade values of each side of the offer, and see which side of the trade wins.
Who Should I Trade For?
Week 10 Trade Decisions. Today's focus is on specific players - Rome Odunze, Breece Hall, Rico Dowdle, Deebo Samuel Sr., RJ Harvey, Puka Nacua, Chris Olave. These are some key fantasy football names heading into this week's matchups.
Using The Trade Values. This is a simple trade value tool, but very powerful. In our fantasy football trade value rankings above, you will see the Trade Value for each player. The higher the number, the higher the priority for targeting in trades. Players with a high trade value number are players that you should be targeting more in trades.
How It Works. Each week, our RotoBaller staff puts together their weekly fantasy football rankings, projections, and trade values based on their research. That information is the core data that is powering the decision-making in this trade value rankings.
How To Calculate Trades. Fantasy football managers will make 1-for-1 trades, or 2-for-3 trades, or 3-for-2 trades, or many other combinations. For each side of the deal, add the trade values together. Whichever side has a higher total number wins the trade. For example, if someone is offering you three players, add the trade values of those three players together. Does the value of those three players exceed the values of the player(s) you are trading away? If so then it's a good deal for you.
