Fantasy Football Matchup Outlooks
Below are some fantasy football outlooks written by our NFL team here at RotoBaller, bringing you their fantasy football analysis and advice on which players to consider starting in Week 7:
Kenneth Walker III, RB, Seattle Seahawks
When asked about running back Kenneth Walker III potentially earning more snaps due to his effectiveness this year relative to Zach Charbonnet, head coach Mike McDonald said that the team takes statistics into account, but they have a plan for their RB usage. McDonald added that both Walker and Charbonnet are playing "high-level football," and they will continue to use both backs.
Seattle's running game has been a disappointment through six weeks, but the 24-year-old Walker has been more efficient with his touches than Charb has been. Walker had only 10 carries for 34 yards in the Week 6 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars, though, adding one catch for three yards. Before that, Walker had gone over 80 rushing yards in two straight games.
Fantasy managers should expect a similar backfield split moving forward as the Seahawks look to keep the oft-injured Walker healthy.
Bam Knight, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals running back Bam Knight (knee) was upgraded to a full practice participant on Thursday after he was listed as limited in Wednesday's practice, according to Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports. Knight was surprisingly Arizona's backfield leader in the Week 6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, but he came out of that game a little banged up.
However, his return to a full practice on Thursday puts him on track to play this Sunday versus the visiting Green Bay Packers. Knight played 37 offensive snaps on Sunday and had 12 touches for 54 scrimmage yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Michael Carter played 32 snaps, had 11 touches, and totaled 64 scrimmage yards. The 24-year-old Knight is worth a waiver-wire pickup if he's still available in your league, but the Cardinals could go with the hot hand moving forward with Trey Benson (knee) on Injured Reserve.
At best, Knight is setting up as a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex this week against Green Bay.
Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Arizona Cardinals
Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (concussion) was listed as a limited participant in practice for the second straight day this week on Thursday, according to Tyler Drake of Arizona Sports. Harrison was seen catching passes from backup quarterback Jacoby Brissett during practice on Thursday while wearing a non-contact jersey.
The 23-year-old former first-rounder suffered a concussion in the Week 6 loss to the Indianapolis Colts and is now in the league's concussion protocol. It's good news that he has practiced on Wednesday and Thursday, but Harrison still needs to be cleared by an independent neurologist and is up in the air to play this weekend against the visiting Green Bay Packers.
If he does get cleared, Harrison could be working with Brissett on offense with Kyler Murray potentially missing a second straight game with a mid-foot sprain. Zay Jones (knee) missed a second straight practice on Thursday, so if Harrison and Jones both cannot play, Arizona would be down to Michael Wilson (foot) and Greg Dortch as their top two receivers on Sunday.
DJ Moore, WR, Chicago Bears
Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore (hip, groin) was listed as a limited practice participant on Thursday after being listed as a non-participant on Wednesday. Moore got banged up during the team's Week 6 win over the Washington Commanders on Monday night, but it appears he's trending in the right direction.
Still, his status for Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints remains unclear. Moore has recorded 19 catches for 215 yards and one touchdown on 26 targets through five games so far this season. If he were to be sidelined on Sunday, Bears wideouts Luther Burden III and Olamide Zaccheaus would both likely see an uptick in playing time and targets. Should Moore be healthy enough to play, he profiles as a low-end WR3/flex option in Week 7.
Breece Hall, RB, New York Jets
New York Jets running back Breece Hall is the name that comes up most often in league-wide running back trade talks, according to ESPN's Dan Graziano. Hall is in the final year of his current contract with the 0-6 Jets, so he's a logical candidate to get moved before the NFL trade deadline. The 24-year-old has recorded 560 yards from scrimmage on 105 total touches through six games this season, although he's yet to find the end zone.
A move to a better team would likely help Hall's touchdown production, although he could end up splitting more backfield work depending on the destination. If Hall were to get moved, Jets running back Isaiah Davis would likely take on a huge share of the backfield snaps in New York. In deep leagues, Davis is a stash candidate who could pay off big time for fantasy managers down the stretch.
