Happy Holiday, RotoBallers! How are we feeling about Week 17? We’ve already had three football games and get three more on Saturday before the remainder of the games are played on Sunday. With the last game being played on Monday Night Football. Most matchups are already underway, making the decision-making process for the next two days much more crucial based on projections and how your team has performed so far.
This article examines three exciting young wide receivers: DeVonta Smith, Brian Thomas Jr., and Jordan Addison. Each of these receivers has had a nice 2024 campaign.
I will discuss their recent statistics, provide an outlook for Week 17, and recommend whether or not to start them this week.
Should I Start DeVonta Smith for Fantasy Football?
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith had six catches for 51 yards in the Eagle's 36-33 loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 16. The key for Smith this week is that Jalen Hurts(concussion) has been ruled out for Week 17. The Eagles are seven-point favorites and figure to lean on their star running back, Saquon Barkley, without their star quarterback available.
Backup quarterback Kenny Pickett (ribs) has also been dealing with an injury; however, he is trending toward being available to play, as he logged a full practice on Thursday.

Should I Start Brian Thomas Jr. for Fantasy Football?
Absolutely. Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. has been a stud this year. What's even more impressive is that he has produced WR1 numbers with Mac Jones under center for a third of the season. BTJ has 1,088 receiving yards and nine touchdowns on the season.
Last week against the Las Vegas Raiders, BTJ had 132 receiving yards on nine catches and a touchdown. He also earned 13 targets. Considering the Jaguars (3-12) are underdogs in most games they play, the game script will usually favor the Jaguars' pass catchers. Specifically BTJ. The Jaguars host the Tennessee Titans this week, and BTJ should be in your lineups.

Should I Start Jordan Addison for Fantasy Football?
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison brought in 5-of-8 targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in his team's 27-24 win against the Seattle Seahawks. Addison has put up 10 plus fantasy points in five of his last six games and has become a reliable target for Sam Darnold.
With Justin Jefferson garnering most of the defense's attention, Addison has greatly succeeded in one-on-one coverage. Although Addison has earned a 17.1% target share on the year, since Week 11, he has seen 20% or more of the targets. The Vikings have a lot of confidence in him, making him a solid WR2 play in Week 17.
