Let’s analyze these three players and evaluate whether they should be in your Week 15 starting lineups. Good luck, RotoBallers!
Should I Start Jake Moody for Fantasy Football?
It has been a bit of an up-and-down season for Jake Moody, the kicker for the San Francisco 49ers. Not only that, but it has been the same for the 49ers team as a whole, sitting at 6-7 in the year.
Moody started the season on a high note, making six field goals against the Jets in Week 1. However, a few weeks later, he injured his ankle while attempting to make a tackle on a kick return, which caused him to miss Weeks six through nine.
For the season, Moody is converting field goals at a 76.9% rate, placing him toward the bottom of the league rankings in made field goal percentage. His struggles have primarily come from 40-plus yards, where he is just seven-for-15 this year.

This week, Moody faces the Los Angeles Rams, who have allowed the 12th-most fantasy points to kickers this season. While this matchup makes him a decent start, there are likely better options for fantasy managers available in 10- to 12-man leagues. RotoBaller has Moody as the No. 19 ranked fantasy kicker in the latest Week 15 Rankings.
Should I Start Joshua Karty for Fantasy Football?
Los Angeles Rams kicker Joshua Karty has been in a bit of a slump over the last few weeks. The rookie kicker is one-for-three on field goals in his last four games. Not only is that a poor percentage, but it's also low volume.
Last week, against the Buffalo Bills, Karty connected on 5-of-6 extra points, made his lone field goal, and still only managed eight fantasy points, even though the Rams scored 44 as a team.

This week, Karty faces the San Francisco 49ers, who allow the 10th-fewest fantasy points to kickers this season. Karty is not recommended as a start in Week 15, and RotoBaller has Karty as the No. 21 ranked fantasy kicker in the latest Week 15 Rankings.
Should I Start the San Francisco 49ers D/ST for Fantasy Football?
The San Francisco 49ers have dealt with their fair share of injuries on defense throughout the season. Most recently, Nick Bosa suffered a hip/oblique injury back in Week 11, and the 49ers' run defense has struggled since his departure. This defense struggled most in the red zone, ranking 31st in the NFL. Allowing opponents to score a touchdown at a 72.1% clip when they reach the red zone.
However, last week, against the Chicago Bears, the 49ers' defense put on a dominant performance, recording seven sacks and one turnover. They will look to keep that momentum going as they head into a Thursday Night Football divisional showdown against the Los Angeles Rams at home.
