When will Marvin Harrison Jr. return and play? Will Marvin Harrison Jr. be back again this season? Read the latest Marvin Harrison Jr. injury updates and return date for Week 15 (2025).
The Arizona Cardinals have been throwing the ball at an extremely high rate with Jacoby Brissett starting in place of Kyler Murray. The heavy volume has resulted in plenty of chances for pass-catchers to make an impact. As the fantasy football playoffs get underway, figuring out who will catch passes in Arizona is a priority to help you advance to the next round.
Marvin Harrison Jr. has been the team's top wide receiver this season when he's healthy, but when he's been out, Michael Wilson has starred in the top role. Harrison had his appendix removed and then suffered a heel injury in his first game back. His injury status could be one of the defining stories of this year's fantasy football playoffs.
When will Marvin Harrison Jr. return to action, and what is his fantasy football outlook when he does? Let's dive in.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Injury Update
Coming into Week 11, news broke that Harrison was dealing with appendicitis and would miss that week's game. It was a huge midweek shift that pressed Wilson into the top role, where he excelled. Harison wasn't able to get back in time for Week 12's game against the Jaguars but returned to the field in Week 13, when he caught six of his seven targets for 69 yards.
In the fourth quarter of that game, though, he left with a heel injury and wasn't able to return. During the game, the injury didn't seem too serious, and he looked like he was getting ready to return to action before ultimately being held out. He did not practice at all in the week after the injury and missed Week 14's matchup with the Rams.
He could return to practice this week and to Week 15's matchup with the Texans since no concrete timeline has been established for the injury. The Cardinals are only 3-10, though, so they may not have much reason to push Marvin Harrison Jr. to return if he's less than 100%.
However, Harrison's injury didn't seem to be serious enough to keep him out for an extended period of time. While there hasn't been much definition of exactly what the injury is, Coach Jonathan Gannon compared Harrison's injury to CB Max Melton's injury, and Melton missed two games and counting.
Harrison has shown the ability and determination to play through issues in his career, and if at all possible, I think he'll play this week rather than shut it down, as Michael Wilson's managers are hopeful he'll do. It's still early in the week, but his practice involvement this week should indicate whether he's on track to return or will need another week to recover.
Marvin Harrison Jr. Fantasy Football Outlook
Harrison has had a frustrating second season in the NFL from an injury perspective, but he has shown solid improvement from his rookie year when he has been available. In his 10 games, he has 40 catches for 594 yards per game and four touchdowns.

He totaled 29 targets in his last three games, and he looked to be on track for a third straight game with double-digit targets before leaving his last game early. He scored a touchdown in each of his last two full games, and he has done a much better job creating separation and making contested catches this season, while also limiting the drops that plagued him last season.
He's been impressive when healthy on both deep balls like the one in the highlight above, and around the goal line and in short-yardage situations.

Harrison would be a solid WR2 if he's able to return, but the numbers that Michael Wilson has put up in Harrison's absence do make Harrison a little higher risk. Wilson has thrived as the top option in the Cardinals passing game with three games of 10+ receptions and over 100 yards in the three games that Harrison missed. In those three games, he has 36 catches, 440 yards, and two touchdowns.
When Harrison returns, he could have to share more work with Wilson, which would make him a lower-end WR2 or a high-end flex play most weeks. This week, the Cardinals have a very tough matchup against the Texans, so whoever is the WR1 should have their expectations lowered a little bit, since Derek Stingley Jr. and the Texans' secondary have been elite this season.
