Andrew Painter Prospect Update for Fantasy Baseball
After missing the entire 2023 and 2024 campaigns, Painter was cleared to open the 2025 season with Low-A. He needed just 11 2/3 innings to prove he was ready to make his Triple-A debut.
Through his first 26 innings at Triple-A Lehigh Valley, Painter showed some growing pains as he posted a modest 5.19 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP. However, over his last two outings, Painter has tossed 10 innings of two-run ball with 11 punchouts.
The budding ace is beginning to take the next steps at Triple-A and is making a strong case to earn the call to the majors.

Andrew Painter Outlook for Fantasy Baseball
While Phillies manager Rob Thomson noted that their top prospect was not expected to be in contention to reach the majors until after the All-Star break, if he continues to produce at a high level at Triple-A, he could push their hand.
Currently, Aaron Nola (ankle/ribs) is on the 60-day IL and has not made much progress in his recovery. Fellow prospect Mick Abel has replaced him in the rotation, but has allowed eight runs over his last 12 innings.
Painter will provide a much-needed boost to the back of their rotation. For now, he is worth tossing in all 12-team leagues.
