Buffalo Bills Schedule: 2023 NFL Games, Strength Of Schedule, Fantasy Outlooks

Josh Allen - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Lineup Picks

What is the Jets schedule? View the Buffalo Bills schedule for 2023. NFL games, dates, times and strength of schedule analysis for fantasy football.

The Buffalo Bills have made the playoffs in five of the past six seasons, but they haven't gotten out of the Divisional Round since 2020.

Josh Allen is 2-1 vs Patrick Mahomes in the regular season, but that doesn't help when he's 0-2 against him in the playoffs.

Will this be the year the Bills' fortunes reverse? What does the Bills' schedule look like in 2023?

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

2023 Bills Schedule Analysis for Fantasy Football

Things could be tough for the Bills' offense. Just take a look at the divisional opponents they'll be facing five times in the first 17 weeks of the season: the Patriots, the No. 9 team in scoring defense and the No. 2 team in forcing turnovers; the Jets, the No. 4 team in scoring defense, with the Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner shutting down Stefon Diggs, who gained a total of 130 yards and scored no touchdowns in two games against the Jets last season; and the Dolphins, who added Jalen Ramsey at cornerback. The Dolphins (No. 19 in total defense) were the worst defense in the AFC East last season, but the Bills only play them once during the fantasy season.

According to ESPN, the Bills' running backs have the 28th-easiest schedule for running backs and the 27th-easiest for wide receivers. The Bills' typically underperforming RB room won't get any help, and Gabe Davis is not in line for having a breakout season one year late.

Their schedule during the fantasy playoffs is a mixed bag. The Chargers, whom the Bills face in Week 16, were the fifth-worst defense against running backs last season. But they were above average at preventing fantasy quarterbacks from scoring points.

Then in Week 17, the fantasy championship week, the Bills face the Patriots, who held fantasy running backs to 13.3 points per game, the second-least in the league. The Patriots ranked in the middle at defending wide receivers and quarterbacks.

Buffalo Bills Season Record Prediction

The Bills went 13-3 last season. That was their best record since 2020. They only played 16 games because their Week 17 matchup against the Bengals was canceled after Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest. It was their best record since 2020, in which they also went 13-3.

The Bills have only won 13 games four times in their franchise history. Prior to 2020, the last time they won 13 games was in 1991. So the Bills' 2022 season could be at the high end of their potential outcomes. Especially in a season in which the AFC East has improved and the Bills face one of the toughest schedules of all teams, it is likely that their win total will decline from last season's franchise record.

The over/under target for Bills wins is 10.5. Factoring in the tough schedule and the regression to the mean, some people are picking the Bills to go under. Vic Tafur, a writer for The Atlantic, says, "The line of only 10.5 wins does feel like a trap."

PFF predicted the Bills will win 9.7 games. They could go either way, but they have a tough stretch at the end of the season in which they face the Eagles, the Chiefs, the Cowboys, the Chargers, the Patriots, and the Dolphins in the final six games of the season.
