Going Bonkers - Week 9 Sleepers for DraftKings

In this article you will find my fantasy football daily league sleepers for each week of the NFL season.  These are players that are bound to go bonkers based on their matchups, circumstances and DraftKings price.  You have to find hidden gems every week to make your DraftKings lineups competitive, so make some shrewd moves and follow our lead.

Bound To Go Bonkers in Week 9

Top 5 Fantasy Football Daily League Sleepers (DraftKings)

Josh Gordon 2012Josh Gordon - WR, Cleveland Browns - Valued at a ridiculous $6,500 heading into Week 9 of DraftKings fantasy football action, this super high-end wide receiver from Cleveland has played up to the hype thus far in 2013.  Josh Gordon has been playing like a bonafide #1 wide receiver option in any kind of fantasy football format, and we expect this trend to continue as he faces off against the Baltimore Ravens' mediocre secondary in Week 9.  Considering that he's also the only guy in town to throw the ball to makes him one of the most tantalizing wide receivers on the board week after week, and with his price tag staying below $7K, we expect you to strike DraftKings gold if you get this stud into your lineup.

Torrey Smith - WR, Baltimore Ravens - Let's stay in the same Week 9 matchup for a moment and highlight the Ravens' most dangerous and dynamic wide receiver, Torrey Smith.  At his very affordable $6,400 price tag, we fully anticipate at least enough fantasy points to warrant #2 wide receiver value; even as he faces Joseph Walter Haden III (shutdown cornerback for the Cleveland Browns).  This holds especially true in salary cap league fantasy football, because on sites like DraftKings you are forced to dig deep to find value in three wide receiver slots.  Don't be scared to use Mr. Smith in this Week 9 matchup, as we feel there is a good chance he may go absolutely bonkers.

Pierre Garcon - WR, Washington Redskins - With the San Diego Chargers playing better than most expected, and the Washington Redskins playing well below their self-imposed standards of success following RG3's rookie season, it seems that the good folks at DraftKings decided to hide a cookie in their wide receiver pricing algorithm for Week 9, and we have found it for you!  Priced at a stupid-low $5,800, we implore you to get this boom-or-bust stud into your crosshairs (and lineup) as he is projected as one of the top wide receiver options bound to go bonkers in Week 9.  He will easily serve his role as a high-end #3 or solid #2 wide receiver option on sites like DraftKings that require you to fill three WR roster spots in addition to all of your other positions.

Chris Johnson - RB, Tennessee Titans - We know the thought of C-Junk-K (Chris Johnson) evokes the not-so-subtle taste of puke in most fantasy football owner's mouths, but we assure you that Week 9 is the time to ride this boom-or-bust gravy train to the last stop!  Priced as a dirt-cheap running back option on DraftKings for only $5,800, you can get a cheeseburger at McFats for cheaper than your RB2 these days!  He will be facing St. Louis's horrific run defense (don't let this past Monday night's stout showing against the Seahawks fool you into thinking they can actually stop the run consistently!), and we fully expect this to be one of the few games in which he goes vintage C2K bonkers.  Just get this former #1 running back option into your Week 9 DraftKings lineup and thank us later.

Trent Richardson - RB, Indianapolis Colts - The point of this weekly article is to help you DraftKings fantasy football buffs get a little sneak peak into our analytic minds, especially relating to budgeting for weekly lineups, and to find great plays that are dirt-cheap and can go bonkers.  Our least favorite fantasy running back, Trent "The Bust" Richardson, just has to suit up this week to return you some investment on the ridonkulous $4,800 price tag that the gents at DraftKings have seen fit to impose.  In fact, if you won't use him for this Week 9 matchup against the Texans seemingly atrocious defense, then we simply don't see a reason to ever look his way again for use in weekly salary cap fantasy football leagues (or any other form of fantasy football for that matter!), because the potential upside is simply too great to pass up.  Save some shekels at your running back positions heading into Week 9 and go splurge on a high-end quarterback to nail down a win in this bye-week crunch!
