Watkins Glen NASCAR Practice Speeds, Lap Averages, and Notes

Tyler Reddick - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR Driver

NASCAR Practice Speeds, Notes, and Lap Averages. Use these NASCAR stats and info to build lineups on DraftKings for the the 2024 Go Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen International.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Watkins Glen International on Saturday morning/afternoon in preparation for the upcoming Go Bowling at The Glen on Sunday afternoon.

The 38-car field was split into two groups for this practice session. Below you'll find the two practice groups, key notes from the practice session, and the practice speeds for all drivers.

Both groups got to go out for two different sessions during this practice. Remember, Goodyear is introducing a new tire this weekend, which is the reason for the extended practice session.

Important Practice Notes

Denny Hamlin - Hamlin spun the No. 11 Toyota out during practice, but there was no harm, no foul, as he didn't hit anything. He ended up fifth-fastest on the day.

Kyle Busch - Rowdy spun out about seven minutes into the first round of practice for Group B. He didn't hit anything and no damage was reported to the No. 8 Chevrolet.

Juan Pablo Montoya - Juan Montoya is back in the Cup Series, as he is driving the No. 50 Toyota for 23XI Racing this weekend. Montoya hasn't raced in the Cup Series since 2014, but he did win here at Watkins Glen back in 2010 when he was driving for Chip Ganassi Racing.
