Tyjae Spears fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit Tyjae Spears for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Sit in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: Tyjae Spears had a mediocre rookie season with the Tennessee Titans in 2023. In 17 games, he rushed for 453 yards, tallied up 385 receiving yards, and scored three touchdowns. Those numbers were good enough for 153.8 fantasy points (PPR) and the overall RB34 finish.
To start off the 2024 season, Spears was ineffective, accumulating only 31 yards from scrimmage. (four rushes, four receptions).
With the Titans signing Tony Pollard in the offseason, there was much debate about who would lead the team’s backfield in 2024. In Week 1, Pollard dominated Spears in snap percentage (63% to 45%) and total fantasy points (18.4 to 7.2). That answered that question for the time being.

Simply put, Pollard played better than Spears in Week 1. He was used in many more key offensive situations and set himself (further) above Spears in the team’s RB depth charts. Until Spears earns more carries and has more of an impact on the field, his fantasy value is limited. Only start him in deep, deep leagues.

Like most of you who are reading this, I grew up playing Madden. I can't remember what year Madden it was, but there was one where Oronde Gadsden was a free agent and I always signed him to bolster the Texans receiving group, because this was back when the team had Andre Johnson and then, […]

Cleveland Browns WR Jerry Jeudy, New Orleans Saints wideout Rashid Shaheed, and Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquise Brown have all had pretty solid games this season and are worth starting consideration for fantasy lineups in Week 7.
