Troy Franklin fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 9 (2024). Should you start or sit Troy Franklin for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Keep Franklin on your free agent watch list, but don't give him a roster spot just yet
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR6
ANALYSIS: Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Troy Franklin is one to keep an eye on from a long-term perspective. Coming off a massive final season at Oregon: 81 receptions, 1,383 yards, and 14 touchdowns--Franklin looked every bit like a playmaker. Even so, he fell to the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, giving the Broncos a potential steal.
One thing Franklin has going for him is built-in chemistry with his college quarterback, Bo Nix, who’s also leading the Denver offense. That connection could spark something, but for now, we need to see him prove it on the NFL field before we can count on him in fantasy.
He’s worth watching for a potential breakout, but for now, stash him if you’ve got the room and wait for more signs of consistent production.

Franklin hasn't seen more than six targets in any game this season, but he appears to be earning more playing time going forward. Quarterback Nix has looked adequate thus far, but we need to see more on the field from Franklin first.
