Travis Etienne fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit Travis Etienne for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB2
ANALYSIS:
Travis Etienne and the Jacksonville Jaguars suffered a devastating defeat in Week 1. The Miami Dolphins shut down the AFC South franchise in the second half of the game, which was not a positive sign.
Etienne did score a touchdown against the Dolphins, but his fumble in the end zone turned the momentum completely in Miami's favor. The Jaguars were unable to recover from that setback, and now they are preparing to face the Cleveland Browns in Week 2.

Going against the Browns' defense will not be straightforward for the Jaguars, but starting Etienne in fantasy football is still a viable option. The 25-year-old running back is more likely to score a touchdown on Sunday than any other player on the field.
In Week 1, Etienne had 12 carries for 44 yards and a touchdown, along with two receptions for 15 yards. He scored 11.9 points in PPR scoring leagues. Jaguars' RB2, Tank Bigsby, had a much better game than Etienne, but head coach Doug Pederson has confirmed that the team will continue to rely on the Clemson product.
Etienne will be much more involved in the passing game than Bigsby. If the Browns defense makes things tough for Trevor Lawrence, the Jaguars quarterback could rely on his former college teammate in both the running and passing games.
