Top Hitter Streamers and Starts for Fantasy Baseball - Week 22

Andrew McCutchen - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Injury News

Fantasy baseball hitter streamers and starts for Week 22 Hitters to add from the waiver wire and stream. Justin analyzes the top batter streamers to pickup.

Hey RotoBallers! It's Jon Anderson, back again for one of the final weeks of hitter streamers. We've found a bunch of exciting hitters for next week with some incredible hitting environments on tap!

We are getting very, very close to the fantasy playoffs. Chances are some teams in your league have given up home, and that will leave some extra value on the waiver wire for us to exploit. I will take us through this and find some streaming hitter options for week 22.

As always, check out the rest of our fantasy baseball streamers content after you read this piece! Here we goooooo!

Be sure to check all of our fantasy baseball lineup tools and resources:

What Teams Offer The Most Streaming Value?

There are two teams scheduled to play eight games next week

  • Brewers
  • Giants

And we have seven more teams scheduled for seven games:

  • White Sox
  • Blue Jays
  • Cardinals
  • Yankees
  • Twins
  • Nationals
  • Orioles

We have a week full of Coors Field games:

  • Brewers vs. Rockies, Monday-Wednesday
  • Diamondbacks vs. Rockies, Friday-Sunday

DING DING DING we have a double-match there. The Brewers play eight games AND have three in Coors Field. Woah baby!

Here are my streamers, in order of how much I like them for next week.

This Week's Streamers

Kolten Wong, Milwaukee Brewers (40% Rostered)

Wong is lightly rostered on Yahoo right now, but much more rostered on ESPN – so he may or may not be available for you. He's one of those Brewers that gets to play eight games (okay, most of these guys will probably sit a game since it's such a tough schedule), and he'll get that Coors action to begin the week. He's been good at the plate this year with a slash line of .253/.334/.431 with 11 homers and 13 steals. Good chance he racks up some hits and counting stats next week, he's the top priority pickup for me next week.

Gavin Sheets, Chicago White Sox (9% Rostered)

The power lefty has been mashing the ball of late, earning him extra playing time. Over his last 89 plate appearances since the All-Star break, Sheets is slashing .337/.360/.602 with 5 homers and a great 18% K%. The contact rate is high at 80%, but the barrel rate is lower at 5.8%. Whatever he's doing, it's working well – and there are seven games on the schedule for the Sox next week. Sheets is widely available and you can get some RBI production out of him next week almost certainly.

Jake McCarthy, Arizona Diamondbacks (12% Rostered)

The Snakes are a priority offense right now, and none of their hitters have been better for fantasy of late than McCarthy. He has already hit two homers this week and he's slashing a great .288/.345/.458 here in rookie year. That's not even to mention the 12 steals he's put up in just 65 games.

Emmanuel Rivera, Arizona Diamondbacks (2% Rostered)

Another D'Back to grab for next week is Rivera, who continues to be very much under-owned. His 16.1% Brl% on the year is really impressive, especially when considering the 18.8% K% it has come alongside. He gets one more trip to Coors Field, which makes him a nice 3B pickup.

Andrew McCutchen, Milwaukee Brewers (39% Rostered)

Cutch has had a better season than most people expected, slashing .244./313/.390 with 14 homers and a nice 77% contact rate. He's of more service when facing a lefty, as he's hit them much better for years now and he hits higher in the batting order in those situations. Currently, the Brewers are slated to face Kyle Freeland, Thomas Szapucki, and Nick Lodolo next week – three hittable lefties. That bodes well for Cutch, who will make a few starts against the righties as well.

Albert Pujols, St. Louis Cardinals (19% Rostered)

The Cardinals are playing him most days as they try to get him to 700 career homers. It also helps that he's performed incredibly well this year, and especially lately. Pujols hit .361/.420/.803 in August with eight homers and just a 13% K%. That was one of the better months of his illustrious career, it's really incredible what he's doing right now. All eight of those homers were against lefties, but he still managed a non-awful .259/.323/.333 line against righties. Right now, there's only one lefty on the schedule for the Cardinals, making him a lower priority guy to get – but there's always the chance of facing lefties out of the bullpen, and he's rarely missed an opportunity against them this season.

Tyrone Taylor, Milwaukee Brewers (3% Rostered)

He's not playing every day right now, and struggling a bit lately (hit .194 in August – yikes!), but another Brewer to consider given the huge amount of games they have next week. He has 13 homers and a 9% Brl% in 330 plate appearances, so some power production can certainly come your way with Taylor.

Rodolfo Castro, Pittsburgh Pirates (2% Rostered)

If you're really in a pinch, you can go to your favorite Pirates cell phone addict. Between TikTok's and texts, Castro has had a nice little season for himself, slashing .255/.315/.438 with five homers and four steals in just 149 plate appearances. Some of the underlying metrics aren't great (52% GB%, .285 xwOBA), but he's been effective at the plate this year and especially recently - and he can help a fantasy team in the infield.

That's it for week 22 hitter streamers, hope this helps!
