Top 25 Fantasy Baseball Prospects to Stash (Redraft): Eric Cross' Rookie Rankings for Week 3

Max Clark - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Top Prospects for 2026

Eric Cross' top 25 fantasy baseball prospects to stash in redraft for Week 3 (2026). His updated MLB rookie rankings for prospect call-ups to make 2026 impacts.

After a slight lull following the Konnor Griffin promotion, it sounds like the upcoming week could yield a few notable prospect promotions. We've already received confirmation regarding Noah Schultz, and we might get Sam Antonacci and Didier Fuentes as well.

There are several other prospects performing extremely well in Triple-A to open the season as well, who could force the hand of their Major League team sooner rather than later.

These prospect rankings are for 2026 redraft value only. These are MLB prospects who could potentially make a fantasy baseball impact in 2026 redraft leagues. You can also see our top fantasy baseball dynasty prospects rankings for longer-term outlooks and our 2026 fantasy baseball rankings dashboard for all other league formats.

Fantasy Baseball Prospect Rankings Analysis

Noah Schultz (SP - CHW)

Reports came out over the weekend that the White Sox will be calling up Noah Schultz to make his major league debut on Tuesday. The White Sox have a notable track record of developing big, lanky, and electric left-handed pitchers, and Schultz is another to add to the mix.

Schultz had a down 2025 season, battling ailments for a good chunk of it, but he's bounced back nicely so far in 2026. In his first three starts for Triple-A Charlotte, Schultz dominated to the tune of a 1.29 ERA, 0.43 WHIP, .089 BAA, 4.3% walk rate, and a 40.4% strikeout rate.

This is the Schultz we all knew and loved back in 2024 when he was considered a tier-1 pitching prospect, and it looks like he's returning to that level now that he's fully healthy. There aren't many pitching prospects with more upside than Schultz, and his strikeout upside alone makes him an intriguing target in all medium to deep redraft leagues.

Sam Antonacci (2B/3B/OF - CHW)

Additional reports had Sam Antonacci getting the call as well, but those were silenced by other reports later in the day saying that the White Sox are not calling him up. Whether he's getting the call with Schultz on Tuesday or at some point thereafter, I'm expecting Antonacci to be up soon. And when he does actually get the call to Chicago, his profile makes him highly intriguing for fantasy purposes.

In 13 games this season, Antonacci is slashing .289/.484/.444 with a pair of home runs, five steals, and over double as many walks (15) as strikeouts (7). He's making contact at an 86% clip along with a tiny 4.3% SwStr rate. I'm usually not one to make player comparisons when it comes to prospects, but Antonacci's profile and upside are fairly similar to Minnesota's Luke Keaschall.

Given his all-around offensive profile and possible dual eligibility depending on what platform you play on, Antonacci is one of my favorite hitting prospects to stash right now before he gets called up.

Didier Fuentes (SP - ATL)

Another prospect rumored to potentially be receiving the call to the majors this week is Atlanta's right-handed pitching prospect, Didier Fuentes. After making one four-inning appearance with the Braves in late-March, Atlanta optioned the 21-year-old down to Triple-A, where he's struck out 15 batters in 9 2/3 scoreless innings while allowing just three hits. He's also walked five batters, though.

Fuentes is coming off a dominant spring training and pitched much better than his 4.58 ERA from last season in the minors would indicate. Fuentes had a 2.88 FIP, 3.21 xFIP, 1.14 WHIP, and a 23.1% K-BB mark in 57 innings last season, which is much more indicative of how well he was pitching.

The Braves are searching for a fifth starter with five starters currently on the IL, and it sounds like Fuentes will fill that void in the near future. He's worth targeting in 12-team mixed leagues or deeper, and even some deeper 10-team leagues if you're looking for a pitcher with some upside.

Max Clark (OF - DET)

Initially, Max Clark was a prospect I didn't expect up until later in the season. But with the slow start Detroit is off to, paired with the hot start for Clark in Triple-A, that ETA is pushing closer in my eyes. Clark is slashing .352/.439/.537 with 9 extra-base hits, six steals, and twice as many walks (10) as strikeouts (5) in his first 66 Triple-A plate appearances.

Per usual, Clark's speed is making an impact on the basepaths, and he's continuing to make well above-average contact, currently sporting an 93.9% zone and 86.7% overall contact rate. The only area where you can nitpick is the goose egg in the home run column.

Clark has power, but he's been more of a line drive hitter than an over-the-fence masher so far. But even if he's not a big power threat initially, Clark can make a sizeable fantasy impact given his all-around offensive skillset.

Charlie Condon (1B - COL)

Another top prospect off to a hot start in Triple-A is Colorado's Charlie Condon. The 2024 No. 3 overall pick has smacked four home runs in his first 10 games with a .325/.438/.675 slash line and a 14.6% walk rate.

Condon has been hitting the ball hard with a 92.1 mph AVG EV and 45% hard-hit rate, but he continues to make contact just slightly over 70% of the time. Thankfully, Coors Field has a way of boosting a hitter's AVG, so I believe Condon could be at least a .250 hitter while pushing for 30 home runs annually. If he continues to hit well in Triple-A, I'd bank on seeing him up with the Rockies sooner rather than later.
