ANALYSIS: Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith has been a fairly consistent fantasy asset through the first 10 weeks of the season, checking in as the WR20 currently. The Alabama product has scored double-digit fantasy points in all but two games this season.
Last week was not what fantasy managers who started Smith had hoped for, with 2.4 half-PPR points against a vulnerable Dallas defense. That game was won on the defensive end for the Eagles, with Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush failing miserably to move the ball with 45 total yards on 13 completions. Philly simply did not need Smith to easily win the game.
The highly anticipated Thursday night showdown with Washington will be a different story. The Commanders rank top three league-wide in total yards and points per game, while also fielding an inconsistent defense.
With an over/under of 48.5 points, tied for the highest on the week, the Eagles will need Smith to match the pace and put points on the board. Look for the dynamic wideout to challenge for his season high in fantasy points this Thursday night.
