Should I drop Elic Ayomanor for fantasy football Week 6? Is Elic Ayomanor a safe player to cut? Read the fantasy football waivers outlook.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Elic Ayomanor logged consecutive weeks of double-digit PPR fantasy points in Week 2 and Week 3. In those games, he caught four of his six targets for 56 yards and a touchdown, and later four of his five targets for 38 yards and another score.
It seemed that he had wrested the WR1 job from fellow Titans receiver Calvin Ridley. But in Week 4, Ayomanor caught just two passes for 44 yards, and in Week 5, he scored only 3.8 PPR fantasy points. Ridley, meanwhile, easily had his best game of the season, snagging five passes for 131 yards and scoring 18.1 PPR fantasy points.
Ayomanor now has consecutive dud games, and in the worst passing offense in the NFL, the WR2 often has close to zero fantasy value. So is it worth it to drop him in fantasy leagues? Let's dive in.

Should I Drop Elic Ayomanor in Fantasy Football?
It was always risky trusting a rookie on such a bad pass offense. Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has passed for just over 175 yards per game on average, which is easily the worst mark in the NFL for any QB that's started all five contests.
Categories Cam Ward ranks LAST in among QBs that have played in 5 games:
-Yds/Pass Attempt (5.36)
-YPG (175.8)
-Passer Rating (64.0)
-Sack Rate (9.9%)
-ANY/Att (3.54, Last by 17%)
-CPOE (-5.1%, 2nd worst is -0.5%)
-Pressure/Sack rate (24.4%)
-Fpts/DB (0.22, 2nd last is 0.37)— JohnJohn Analysis (@JohnJohnalytics) October 7, 2025
The environment Ayomanor is in is simply awful. We don't have to blame Ward for absolutely everything, of course, but however the blame should be spread around between Ward and the coaches, it doesn't help Ayomanor produce more. Titans head coach Brian Callahan appears to have been a mistake of a hire.
The rookie now has to contend with Ridley potentially not being completely washed, which is of course terrible for his future prospects. Ward's numbers over five games don't appear to be the product of a fluke. It's possible he could improve as the year goes on, but things are looking pretty grim.
Who Should I Pickup for Fantasy Football?
I think you'd be well-served to grab Carolina Panthers WR Jalen Coker (quad). He's missed his team's first five games with a hamstring injury, but could return for Week 6, and he'd have a great matchup against the incredibly soft Dallas Cowboys defense.

Coker, despite being undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, put together an impressive highlight reel his rookie season. Another target is Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce (concussion), who missed the last two games with a concussion. He could return in Week 6. He's Colts quarterback Daniel Jones' favorite deep target.
In deep leagues, you could grab Detroit Lions WR Isaac TeSlaa. He already has two touchdowns on the season, and though he's not used much in the Lions offense, he has major potential if any of the team's other top-3 pass catchers get injured. Lions WR Jameson Williams has been disappointing so far, fantasy-wise.
