Sam Darnold – Week 5 Fantasy Football Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Picks

Sam Darnold - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Sam Darnold fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 5 (2024). Should you start or sit Sam Darnold for fantasy football lineups?

BALLER MOVE: Start in 12+ Team Leagues

POSITIONAL VALUE: QB13

ANALYSIS: Minnesota Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold has had an outstanding start this season. The former USC star leads the NFL in passing touchdowns (13), totaling two or more in every contest. More importantly, he is the QB5 over the first month, averaging 19.6 fantasy points per game.

Darnold is the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September after leading the Vikings to a 4-0 record. The veteran has played well despite facing multiple talented defenses. Therefore, fantasy players should feel confident starting him as a low-end QB1 in Week 5 against the New York Jets in London.

The Jets have held quarterbacks to only 8.6 fantasy points per game this season, the second-fewest in the NFL. Furthermore, they have given up only two passing touchdowns in 2024. However, New York has faced Will Levis, Jacoby Brissett, Drake Maye, and Bo Nix over the past three weeks. Expect Darnold to keep up his hot play against his former team.
