Rome Odunze fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit Rome Odunze for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Sit in All Formats
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR7/8
ANALYSIS: Long-term, Chicago Bears rookie wide receiver Rome Odunze should be one of the NFL's better receivers, but all signs point to him being worth sitting in all formats in Week 2 against the Houston Texans.
There are a number of reasons why this is the case. First is that we don't even know if Odunze will be on the field in Week 2 as he is currently dealing with a knee issue. Even if he plays, he may be limited. It's a headache worth avoiding.
I can't find the stats for this, but I feel pretty confident saying that Rome Odunze is the first 1st-round WR whose first career catch was also his first career fumble and also was a deflected pass to another player pic.twitter.com/KoxWnlarg8

Add in that the Bears offense looked inept in the opener and that Odunze was quiet, catching just one of his four targets for 11 yards and...yeah, you can safely look elsewhere for this meeting with a talented Houston Texans secondary. We must see rookie quarterback Caleb Williams improve before we trust his third option in fantasy.
