ANALYSIS: After sharing the Dallas backfield with Ezekiel Elliott during the first three weeks of the season, Rico Dowdle has begun to emerge as the lead option and should be viewed as a high-floor RB2 this weekend.
During the first three weeks of the season, Dowdle averaged just 7.7 attempts per game, with a mere 29.3 yards in each game. However, over the past two weeks, the 26-year-old has averaged 15.5 attempts per game with an impressive 66.5 rushing yards and 14.5 receiving yards per game. He has also found the back of the end zone in both of these outings.

Last weekend, against a tough Pittsburgh Steelers defense, Dowdle totaled a season-high 87 rushing yards and 27 receiving yards.
This weekend, he will face another tough rushing defense in the Detroit Lions but should be confidently started, given his role on a potent offense.
