Richmond NASCAR Practice Speeds, Lap Averages, and Notes

Kyle Larson - NASCAR DFS Picks, Betting Picks, Daily Fantasy NASCAR

NASCAR Practice Speeds, Notes, and Lap Averages. Use these NASCAR stats and info to build lineups on DraftKings for the the 2024 Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway.

The NASCAR Cup Series ran a single practice session at Richmond Raceway on Saturday morning in preparation for the upcoming Toyota Owners 400 on Sunday night.

The 36-car field was split into two groups for this practice session. Below you'll find the two practice groups, key notes from the practice session and the practice speeds for all drivers.

Due to changing track conditions, Group A was much faster than Group B during this practice. When looking at these practice speeds, you need to analyze each Group individually instead of the field as a whole.

Important Practice Notes

Chase Briscoe, Daniel Suarez, and Ross Chastain - In Group A, these three drivers started practicing later in the session than the rest of the group. This caused their single-lap speeds to be much slower than the rest of the group, and their falloff time to be significantly less.

Chris Buescher - Buescher was interviewed after he got done with practice and the Roush-Fenway Keselowski Racing driver sounded very confident. He won the most recent race here at Richmond and he said that his No. 17 Ford unloaded "close" to where they needed it to be.
