The NASCAR Cup Series ran the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway on Sunday evening, with Denny Hamlin being able to capitalize on a late caution and restart to get his second win of the 2024 season (and fifth career victory at Richmond).
When it came to Green Flag Speed, Martin Truex, Jr. was the fastest during the race, and he would have won the event if it wasn't for the aforementioned caution and restart. Race-winner, Denny Hamlin, ranked sixth-fastest when it came to Green Flag Speed during the Toyota Owners 400.
Of the top-five finishers, Chase Elliott was the lowest-ranking in Green Flag Speed, as he was just 10th-fastest in that statistic but was able to rally for a fifth-place finish. All of the other top-five finishers on Sunday night ranked inside the top six when it came to Green Flag Speed.
