Ray-Ray McCloud III fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 2 (2024). Should you start or sit Ray-Ray McCloud for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Sit In All Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR7
ANALYSIS: Ray-Ray McCloud III surprisingly led all Atlanta pass-catchers in targets (seven) and receiving yards (52) in the Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. While his opening-week showing puts him on the fantasy football radar, he should not be expected to continue that trend.
McCloud played just 30 snaps in Week 1, while Drake London played 56 and Darnell Mooney played 53. Week 1 was likely an outlier performance, but even if it wasn't, it's too early to know and trust McCloud in fantasy lineups against the Philadelphia Eagles.
That said, fantasy managers with A.J. Brown (hamstring) might want to grab McCloud off the waiver wire ahead of Sunday's slate in case Brown is ruled out on Monday Night. If Darnell Mooney is available in your league, he's a better injury fill-in, but if not, playing McCloud in place of Brown is better than taking a zero.

Either way, McCloud's Week 2 usage and stats should be monitored heading into next week's waiver wire push.
UPDATE: A.J. Brown has been ruled OUT for Week 2, making McCloud a desperation flex replacement.
