Ray Davis fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 1 (2024). Should you start or sit Ray Davis for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Don't Start in Week 2
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB4
ANALYSIS: Fantasy managers should avoid starting Ray Davis this week as the Bills face the Dolphins. In Week 1, Davis recorded just three rushing attempts for 13 yards and added one catch for 14 yards, indicating his role in the offense is limited.
With James Cook firmly established as the Bills' lead back and receiving a heavy workload of 22 total touches in Week 1, Davis isn’t likely to see enough volume to be fantasy-relevant. His minimal involvement in the offense makes him a risky and unreliable option, especially against a Dolphins defense that can be tough on opposing running backs.
Davis’ lack of touches and limited role behind Cook severely caps his upside. Even in a potentially high-scoring matchup, Davis will likely remain an afterthought in the Bills’ offensive game plan, leaving little chance for significant fantasy production.
Unless Cook were to suffer an injury or the game script drastically changed, Davis doesn’t offer enough to justify a spot in your lineup. Davis could be an attractive option as the season continues, but leave him on your bench for now.

Fantasy managers should look elsewhere for more reliable running back or flex options this week.
