Quentin Johnston fantasy football start 'em, sit 'em picks for Week 6 (2024). Should you start or sit Quentin Johnston for fantasy football lineups?
BALLER MOVE: Sit
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR4
ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston had two nice games, but they were on the backs of touchdowns. He's in a low passing volume offense and doesn't get good target volume. Receivers on run-heavy teams are limited by this. He's also not the primary target for QB Justin Herbert.
Justin Herbert creating a touchdown for Quentin Johnston with his eye manipulation. Good stuff here from #10. (watch how his head barely moves at until the very end) pic.twitter.com/QOAPzQa7Tx

It's great when your fantasy receiver gets touchdowns, but when he gets just nine yards and zero touchdowns on five targets while another WR on the same team (in this case, Ladd McConkey) gets 67 yards and a touchdown in the same game, it's not great news. Johnston is not the WR1 for the Chargers.
Really impressed by what we've seen so far from Chargers WR Ladd McConkey. His route running + YAC ability is already translating at the NFL level--would love to see Roman use him to attack downfield from the slot more, as he absolutely has the juice for it. pic.twitter.com/PNpLjEk2Z4

McConkey is the guy in a room that barely has room for one. Johnston isn't fantasy-relevant unless he scores touchdowns, and those are hard to get consistently. He's not worth starting, but he is a fine bench stash in case of a McConkey injury.
