The second game is known as Single Stat. MLB DFS Prop Picks for 7/22/22
Braxton Garrett over 5.5 strikeouts - This could be a tad dicey, but Garrett did just strike out 11 Pirates over six innings in his most recent start. The Pirates have struggled mightily against southpaws in recent weeks as they were posting a K rate of 26.7% in the two weeks leading up to the break, which was ranked sixth-worst in the league over that span.
Charlie Morton over 7.5 strikeouts - I would look to see if this number drops a tad, but Morton is certainly capable of getting eight Angels as he has struck out at least eight in five of his previous eight starts. We have done well attacking the Angels as they were posting the highest K rate against righties heading into the break with a rate of 32.1% while also posting an abysmal 63 wRC+ mark over those same two weeks.
Adam Wainwright over 4.5 strikeouts - Wainwright will be facing the Reds who were posting the second highest K rate against righties heading into the break with a rate of 28.0%. They were also posting a walk rate of just 5.6% and a wRC+ mark of just 85 over that same span. Meanwhile, Wainwright has struck out at least five in seven of his previous nine starts.
Other Recommendations - Max Scherzer over 7.5 strikeouts, Paul Goldschmidt over 1.5 total bases, Shohei Ohtani over 8.0 strikeouts
