MLB Home Run Player Prop Bets Today: Best Hitter HR Props (5/15/2026)

Shea Langeliers - Fantasy Baseball Rankings, Draft Sleepers, MLB Prospects

Zach's best MLB player prop bets for today (5/15/2026). Bet his home run props (HR props) and win money betting on MLB player props, including James Wood, Yordan Alvarez and others!

Welcome back, RotoBallers! Major League Baseball has a massive slate this Friday to start the weekend, with all 30 teams on the schedule. It's the first day of Rivalry Weekend, so the 11 interleague series and four regional matchups are each designed to highlight intense, geographical rivalries. Some work better than others, but it should be a great weekend of baseball with plenty of home run props to consider on Friday.

In this article, I'll focus on four home run spots I like, and spice things up with a longshot bet that could cash nicely as well. Make sure to check out the RotoBaller Discord, where you can find input from all our experts, which could include more home run spots as well as some great strikeout picks and NRFIs!

Below, you'll be able to read about my favorite home run props from MLB games on Friday, May 15, 2026. The current odds given reflect the best price as of the time of the publication, but remember to always shop around at other sportsbooks so you can get the most value on your home run wagers. Odds can vary significantly from one sportsbook to another.

MLB Prop Bets - Today's Home Run Prop Picks (5/15/2026)

Shea Langeliers OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+275, theScoreBET)

We'll start off our home run props in the last game on the slate as the San Francisco Giants visit Sutter Health Park to take on the Athletics in what used to be the Battle of the Bay, and is still a fun rivalry even with the Athletics in Sacramento. The home run environment is much better at Sutter Health Park than at the Oakland Coliseum, the A's previous home park, and the weather should be nice and warm with the wind blowing out.

The Athletics face Giants' righty Tyler Mahle, who has some great reverse-splits for right-handed power hitters, setting Langeliers up as a nice spot to start our home run props. Mahle has allowed eight homers in his eight starts this season, and six of those were hit by righties, who have a .566 SLG and .427 wOBA against him on the season. He's also struggled on the road with 13 runs against him in just 14 1/3 innings this season, including four long balls.

Langeliers has 12 homers in his 38 games with a 49.6% hard-hit rate and 17.4% barrel rate. He has nine of his 12 homers against righties like Mahle, and eight of his 12 homers at home at Sutter Health Park.

Langeliers checks all the splits boxes and has a great environment to stay hot on this Friday night.

Samuel Basallo OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+446, Novig)

Staying in the category of catchers who can mash, Basallo is a longer shot play than Langeliers, but he should also be in a good spot with the potential to go yard in the Beltway Series between his Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Nationals.

The Nationals will start Zack Littell, who has been a great pitcher to target for home runs the last few years. In 2025, he gave up 36 homers in 32 starts, and so far this season, he has allowed 14 homers in eight games (five starts). Opponents have a 12.3% barrel rate against him and a 47.1% hard-hit rate. Lefties like Basallo have hit 11 of the 14 homers he has allowed this year, posting a .732 SLG and .462 wOBA.

Basallo is a good way to attack Littell and still get some good value. The 21-year-old brings plenty of raw power potential and has five long balls in his first 34 games this season while hitting a solid .277 with a .358 wOBA. He has a 48.3% hard-hit rate and 10.3% barrel rate.

He hasn't homered yet in May, but he is 11-for-25 (.440) over his last seven games with three barrels and a 52.4% hard-hit rate. He's still seeing and hitting the ball well, and this matchup should give him a chance to break out of his power draught.
