MLB Prop Bets - Today's Home Run Prop Picks (5/13/2026)

Sal Stewart OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+425, theScore BET)

Great American Ball Park is one of the best home run environments on the board this Wednesday as Sal Stewart and the Reds host the Nationals. Sal Stewart has lived up to his top prospect hype early in the season and already has 10 homers on the year. He gets a great matchup on Wednesday and still brings nice value.

Stewart's home run pace has slowed a bit in the last few weeks after a fast start to the season, but he is still hitting the ball very well. He had three hits on Tuesday, including a double, and he has four barrels in his last five games with a 60% hard-hit rate and an average exit velocity over 95 mph. He has a 26.7% barrel rate over that small sample size, and multiple hard-hit balls in three of his last four games.

He hasn't homered yet on the homestand, but did go yard in Chicago last Thursday.

Stewart gets a great matchup on Wednesday against Jake Irvin of the Nationals. Irvin gave up more home runs than any other pitcher in the majors in 2025 and has served up five home runs in his eight starts this season. While Lefties have three of those home runs, they also have 117 plate appearances against him, while righties have two homers in just 59 plate appearances against Irvin.

Righties like Stewart are hitting .296 with a .444 SLG and .346 wOBA against Irvin this year, and if Stewart keeps crushing the ball, he should be set to start another power surge on Wednesday night. The weather forecast calls for brisk winds blowing out at Great American Ball Park, which should lead to plenty of home run potential in this contest.

Nolan Gorman OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+440, FanDuel)

The other especially home run-friendly spot on the scoreboard this Wednesday night is in Sacramento, where the Athletics take on the Cardinals. While he's still in a platoon at times, Nolan Gorman has been barreling up righties lately and brings nice value at over +400 in this favorable road matchup.

Gorman has five homers on the season with a 46.7% hard-hit rate and 9.8% barrel rate. In his last 10 games in May, though, he has a 68.5% hard-hit rate and a 26.3% barrel rate. He smashed this homer on May 1 and has been smashing the ball ever since.

Gorman hasn't homered in his nine games since then, but the 26-year-old lefty brings plenty of raw power potential and should be back in the lineup after starting the series opener on the bench on Tuesday. All five of his homers this year have come against righties, and he'll be on the strong side of his splits in Wednesday's matchup against J.T. Ginn.

Ginn has a solid 3.62 ERA overall this season, but his home-road splits are startling. He has a 7.62 ERA at home, giving up 11 runs in just 13 innings. He's been very effective on the road, but pitching at Sutter Health Park was rough for him last season, and that trend has continued in his first few outings in Sacramento this season.

Lefties like Gorman have hit four of the five homers Ginn has allowed this year, and with the wind blowing out and the temperatures over 80 degrees, Gorman and the Cardinals lefties should be in a good spot to continue Ginn's home struggles this Wednesday night.
