3 days agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris carried the ball 18 times for 74 yards and was not targeted in the passing game in a 24-20 loss to the New York Jets in Week 4. Harris' goose egg in the passing game comes as a bit of a surprise as he is usually relatively active in that portion of the game. The second-year running back has yet to put together a big game but he has been productive enough for fantasy, having scored two touchdowns through his first four games. He will be a low-end RB1 in Week 5 against the Buffalo Bills.--Matt T - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com

6 days agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris scored his second touchdown in 2022 in a Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns. He will look to find the end zone again in a Week 4 matchup at home against the New York Jets. Harris has been slow to get things going on the ground in 2022, averaging just 3.2 rushing yards per carry, but he routinely draws one of the largest running back workloads in the league. The Jets have struggled against enemy running backs in 2022, allowing the seventh-most fantasy points per game to the position. Treat Harris as a low-end RB1 for Week 4.--Matt T - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com

2 weeks agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris carried the ball 15 times for 56 yards and a touchdown while adding three receptions for five yards in a 29-17 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 3. Harris' touchdown came on a five-yard run in the first half where he bulldozed Cleveland safety John Johnson III at the goal line for the score. The second-year running back was credited with a fumble when the Steelers were attempting to lateral the ball on the final play of the game. Harris seems to be over the foot issue that forced him from the game in Week 1 as he handled all but four of the running back carries in the loss. Harris will be a low-end RB1 in Week 4 against the New York Jets.--Matt T - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com
Share:
2 weeks agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris returned from a Week 1 foot injury to log 15 carries and five receptions in a Week 2 loss to the New England Patriots. Harris has been slow out of the gates in 2022, averaging just 2.9 yards per carry through two games. He will look to break out against the Cleveland Browns on the road in Week 3's Thursday game. Harris performed well against the Browns in 2021, posting 279 rushing yards, two touchdowns, and six catches across two games. Harris can be trusted as a low-end RB1 in fantasy for Thursday night.--Matt T - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com
Share:
2 weeks agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris carried the ball 15 times for 49 yards and added 40 yards on five catches in a 17-14 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 2. Harris suffered a foot injury during Week 1's win over the Cincinnati Bengals but it didn't appear to affect him against the Patriots as he handled 15 of Pittsburgh's 22 rushing attempts. Harris has yet to find the end zone in 2022 and is averaging just 2.8 yards per carry through two games, but his usage in the passing game on Sunday was encouraging as he finished as the team's second-leading receiver. Harris will be a low-end RB1 for fantasy in Week 3's Thursday game against the Cleveland Browns.--Matt T - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com
Share:
3 weeks agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) was removed from the Week 2 injury report and will play on Sunday against the New England Patriots. Harris was limited in practice on Wednesday, but he practiced in full the last two days and is good to go after aggravating his foot injury in the Week 1 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals. The 24-year-old led the league in touches in his rookie season in 2021, but he carried the ball just 10 times for 23 yards (2.3 yards per tote) and added two catches for three yards and a score in Week 1. He should see more usage in Week 2, although the Patriots held the Dolphins to just 18 rushing attempts and 43 yards in the season opener. Because of the chance that Harris is limited this weekend, fantasy managers should consider him more of an RB2.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero
Share:
3 weeks agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) got in a full practice on Thursday as his team gears up for a home matchup against the New England Patriots in Week 2. Harris left his team's Week 1 matchup early with a foot injury and practiced on a limited basis on Wednesday, but his upgrade on Thursday bodes well for his ability to suit up on Sunday. That being said, the Patriots represent a tough matchup for Harris as they allowed the 10th-fewest fantasy points per game to opposing running backs in 2021 and held Chase Edmonds and Raheem Mostert to just 41 yards on 17 combined carries in Week 1. Treat Harris as a low-end RB1/high-end RB2 in fantasy for Week 2.--Matt T - RotoBallerSource: Field Yates on Twitter
Share:
3 weeks agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) was limited in practice on Wednesday after suffering a foot injury in the Week 1 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Harris said "it's good" and doesn't seem to be worried at all about missing Week 2 against the New England Patriots. However, head coach Mike Tomlin said he wants to see more from Harris this week before his status is determined for Sunday. "Naj is really optimistic," said Tomlin. "It's good to be young. He appears to be in position, but he's going to have to practice and prove his readiness." The 24-year-old apparently aggravated a Lisfranc injury that he dealt with in training camp. As long as Harris doesn't suffer a setback later this week, there's a good chance he'll suit up in Week 2, where he'll be a must-start fantasy back. Those that have Harris rostered should scoop up rookie Jaylen Warren off the waiver wire as insurance.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Steelers.com - Teresa Varley
Share:
3 weeks agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) is pretty confident that he'll play in Week 2 against the New England Patriots after aggravating his Lisfranc foot injury late in the Week 1 overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals. "I'll be back at practice this week, and then I will be playing this weekend," Harris said Tuesday. Harris had only 10 carries for 23 yards and caught two passes for three yards and a touchdown in the season opener. Rookie Jaylen Warren is the handcuff for Harris in case he misses any time this season, with Benny Snell Jr. No. 3 on the RB depth chart. However, receiver Chase Claypool was second in rushing attempts for Pittsburgh last Sunday. There's a good chance that Harris is questionable for Week 2, so fantasy managers need to have a backup plan in place just in case.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Mad Dog Sports Radio
Share:
3 weeks agoTests on Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris' foot came back negative on Monday, and there is a belief that he "should be good to go" for a Week 2 matchup against the New England Patriots, according to a source. Harris dealt with a Lisfranc sprain to the same foot during training camp, and it's believed this was just a minor aggravation of that injury. Last year's leader in touches carried just 10 times for 23 yards and caught both of his targets for three yards and a touchdown in Week 1's overtime win over the Cincinnati Bengals. We'll need to keep a close eye on Harris' practice status this week, but as of now, his fantasy managers have to consider this a huge win. If Harris is limited or inactive in Week 2, rookie Jaylen Warren would be in line for lead-back duties, with Benny Snell Jr. backing him up.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN - Adam Schefter
Share:
3 weeks agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (ankle, foot) suffered an apparent ankle/foot injury late in the team's Week 1 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. Harris rolled his ankle in the contest after recovering from a Lisfranc sprain he sustained in training camp. Luckily, the injury does not seem to be significant and the Steelers are hopeful that he will be fine. Jaylen Warren was the only other running back with a touch in Sunday's game and will start in Week 2 if Harris is unable to go.--Jorden Hill - RotoBallerSource: Pro Football Talk
Share:
3 weeks agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) left late in the fourth quarter during Sunday's matchup against Cincinnati. Harris dealt with a Lisfranc injury throughout training camp, so fantasy managers are anticipating the worst. However, NFL Network's Mike Giardi provided a reassuring update on Twitter, commenting, "I'm told the injury is not considered a big deal." While the Tweet is certainly positive, there should be a more concrete update soon, so Harris shouldn't be declared a lock for the Week 2 outing versus the New England Patriots. If he's out for that one, managers can grab Jaylen Warren off the wire to help lessen the blow, although Chase Claypool could see some touches out of the backfield.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Mike Giardi
Share:
3 weeks agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) was injured late in the fourth quarter of the Week 1 matchup against Cincinnati. While it was reassuring that he limped off the field under his own power, he dealt with a Lisfranc injury during training camp, adding an extra element to the situation. Overall, the 24-year-old struggled on the day, finishing with only 23 yards off 10 touches and two catches for three yards. Nevertheless, there could be an update on his condition soon. However, fantasy managers should prepare for Week 2, and it wouldn't be surprising if Harris misses time. If that's the case, rookie Jaylen Warren appears to be the favorite to take over out of the backfield, although Benny Snell Jr. may also be involved.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: Brooke Pryor
Share:
4 weeks agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris will open the season with a road matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1. Harris dealt with a Lisfranc injury throughout training camp but he is reportedly healthy and should see yet another huge share of the backfield carries in Pittsburgh in 2022. The second-year running back had a tough time against the Bengals in 2021, rushing 22 times for 63 scoreless yards across two games. That being said, the Bengals aren't the type of defense to bench your fantasy running backs against. Harris can be trusted as a low-end RB1 for Week 1.--Matt T - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com
Share:
1 month agoPittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris (foot) should be fine for the Week 1 regular season opener after dealing with a Lisfranc sprain in his foot early in the preseason. Harris played in the team's preseason finale on Sunday against the Detroit Lions and had four carries for 10 yards while catching all three of his targets for an additional 11 yards, so he looks to be just fine. While the 24-year-old appears to be past the injury, it's certainly worth watching after he led the league in touches in his rookie season in 2021. The Steelers are expected to lighten his load in Year 2 slightly, but the offense in Pittsburgh should continue to run through him, making him a no-doubt RB1 in fantasy football drafts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
