51 mins agoArizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said he's hopeful that wide receivers Rondale Moore (groin) and Greg Dortch (thumb) can return in Week 14 against the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football. The Cardinals had their bye last week, so it afforded both Moore and Dortch some extra rest. Moore missed the Week 12 contest with a groin injury he suffered in Week 11 in Mexico City. Dortch also missed the Week 12 game due to a thumb injury that didn't require surgery. If both Moore and Dortch return this week against the Patriots, quarterback Kyler Murray will have his full complement of receivers to work with. Moore and Dortch will play second fiddle to DeAndre Hopkins and Marquise Brown, lowering their fantasy ceiling.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: The Arizona Republic - Jose M. Romero

60 mins agoThe Tennessee Titans signed cornerback John Reid to their 53-man roster on Tuesday off the Atlanta Falcons practice squad, according to a source. It's among the first moves for interim general manager Ryan Cowden after the Titans announced the firing of former GM Jon Robinson. The 26-year-old Reid was a fourth-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2020 out of Penn State. He hasn't appeared in any NFL games in 2022, and he has just 25 tackles (18 solo) and three passes defensed in 24 games (three starts) over the last two seasons with the Texans and Seattle Seahawks. Reid will serve as secondary depth for the Titans for the rest of the 2022 season. A groin strain earlier this year landed him on Injured Reserve with the Seahawks.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

1 hour agoThe San Francisco 49ers officially signed free-agent quarterback Josh Johnson on Tuesday to an undisclosed one-year deal. The move comes after starting signal-caller Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) suffered a serious Lisfranc foot injury in the Week 13 win over the Miami Dolphins. It was initially believed that Jimmy G would be lost for the season, but he will avoid surgery and could be available if the Niners make a deep playoff run. Johnson was signed off the Denver Broncos' practice squad, and it's his fourth stint with San Francisco. Rookie seventh-rounder Brock Purdy will take over the offense with Garoppolo hurt, but if something happens to Purdy as well, Johnson would be forced to make just the 10th NFL start of his career.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN - Adam Schefter

1 hour agoThe Seattle Seahawks signed veteran running back Wayne Gallman to their practice squad on Tuesday with rookie Kenneth Walker III (ankle) dealing with an ankle injury, according to a source. Gallman hasn't seen action in an NFL game this year despite being on the Kansas City Chiefs' practice squad earlier this season. Seattle also has Travis Homer, DeeJay Dallas and Tony Jones Jr. on the RB depth chart, but Homer (didn't play in Week 13) and Dallas are also banged up with injuries, so the Seahawks needed more depth at the position heading into their Week 14 clash against the Carolina Panthers. The 28-year-old Gallman could be active for the first time this weekend, depending on the health of the other RBs, but he won't be a realistic fantasy option.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

1 hour agoDoctors concluded on Tuesday that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) doesn't need surgery for a Lisfranc injury to his left foot, and if his rehab goes smoothly, he could have a chance to return in seven to eight weeks, according to sources. Garoppolo will now be a potential playoff contributor if the Niners make a deep playoff run. The Divisional Round is seven weeks from the day Garoppolo was injured on Sunday, the Conference Championship game is eight weeks again and the Super Bowl is 10 weeks away. It was previously thought that the 31-year-old would miss the rest of the year, but there's a chance we'll see him again. In the meantime, rookie Brock Purdy will be leading San Fran's offense.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN - Adam Schefter

1 hour agoThe Los Angeles Rams claimed former No. 1 overall pick Baker Mayfield off waivers from the Carolina Panthers on Tuesday, according to league sources. The Rams now inherit the remaining $1.35 million on Mayfield's contract. He's expected to fly to Los Angeles by Tuesday night, and he could play on Thursday night against the Las Vegas Raiders. Matthew Stafford (concussion, neck) has missed the last two games and will likely miss the rest of the year after being put on Injured Reserve. John Wolford is also dealing with an injury, leaving rookie Bryce Perkins as the only healthy QB on the roster. Mayfield will surely make starts for the Rams down the stretch, but he's highly unlikely to start in Week 14 on such a short turnaround.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN - Adam Schefter

2 hours agoTampa Bay Buccaneers rookie running back Rachaad White has become an important part of the team's offense in recent weeks. So much so that on Monday, he drew the start over Leonard Fournette and caught the winning touchdown against the Saints. He rushed for only 28 yards but had six receptions for 41 yards on eight targets. In his last three games, White has averaged 16.7 fantasy points, vaulting himself into the fantasy landscape. Be wary, though, fantasy managers, as he faces the toughest rush defense in the NFL in Week 14 in the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners are allowing only 56.9 yards per game to running backs this season. Consider White a strong flex option, but proceed with caution.--Sam BergerSource: RotoBaller

3 hours agoTampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is known as the greatest football player in the history of the NFL, but in 2022, he hasn't had his greatest season. Through the first 13 weeks of the season, Brady has thrown only 16 touchdowns and has rushed for negative-six rushing yards while averaging 17.5 fantasy points per game. He is the 18th-ranked fantasy QB as we head into the final few weeks of the season. Things don't get any easier for Brady in Week 14, as he faces the San Francisco 49ers defense, the fourth-best unit in fantasy football. Start Brady as a QB1, but keep your expectations low.--Sam BergerSource: RotoBaller

4 hours agoThe Cleveland Browns' plan is to have tight end David Njoku (knee) practice this week and play in Week 14 against the Cincinnati Bengals after he missed last week's win over the Houston Texans, according to a league source. Njoku has missed three games this year due to two separate knee issues, but it looks like he'll be back for fantasy managers as a TE1 option this weekend. We'll keep an eye on the 26-year-old's practice status this week, but fantasy managers could get him back in the final week before the playoffs begin in most fantasy leagues. The former first-rounder has been a decent low-end TE1 in 2022 with 41 catches for 464 yards and two touchdowns in nine games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: 247 Sports - Brad Stainbrook

5 hours agoPhiladelphia Eagles defensive end Robert Quinn (knee) is undergoing a knee scope this week and will go on Injured Reserve on Tuesday, according to sources. It's bad timing, as Quinn had been settling into the Eagles' defensive scheme before his knee got twisted in practice last week. He'll miss at least the next four games, but there's optimism he'll return for a playoff push. The 32-year-old joined Philadelphia at the end of October after starting the year with the Chicago Bears, and he had only two solo tackles and two QB hits in his first five games for the Eagles while playing no more than 27 percent of the defensive snaps. With Quinn out, Ndamukong Suh, Linval Joseph and Milton Williams should see more rotational snaps along the defensive line.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: NFL Network - Tom Pelissero

5 hours agoThe Denver Broncos released veteran safety Anthony Harris on Tuesday, according to a source. Harris gets the axe in his first season with Denver after just three games played. The 31-year-old played only 43 total defensive snaps in his three games and failed to record any tackles, mostly playing on special teams. Harris spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings, and he's racked up 356 tackles (221 solo), 10 interceptions (one for a touchdown), 31 passes defensed, one forced fumble and four fumble recoveries in 98 career games (61 starts). He'll look for work elsewhere to close out the 2022 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN - Adam Schefter

5 hours agoBaltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) suffered a sprained left PCL in the Week 13 win over the Denver Broncos, according to leagues sources. PCL injuries often sideline players one to three weeks, and head coach John Harbaugh already has said that Jackson is "less likely" to play in Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Fantasy managers should already be benching Jackson for this weekend, and there's a chance he'll miss additional time. With the fantasy playoffs beginning in Week 15 in most leagues this year, this is terrible timing for the high-end QB1. Backup Tyler Huntley will get another start this Sunday, and he'll have some QB2 appeal because of his rushing abilities.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN - Adam Schefter

5 hours agoThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense/special teams allowed 298 yards of total offense in Monday's 17-16 win over the New Orleans Saints. Tampa Bay recorded two sacks and held the Saints to three points in the fourth quarter, coming up big and stopping New Orleans' offense with just under three minutes remaining. The Bucs' defense has held teams to under 20 points in three of the last four weeks. Tampa Bay will look to build on Monday's performance against the San Francisco 49ers this Sunday. Tampa Bay becomes a strong streaming option in Week 14 with the 49ers down to their third-string quarterback.--Brad Camara - RotoBallerSource: Pro Football Focus

6 hours agoTampa Bay Buccaneers kicker Ryan Succop converted his only field goal attempt and drilled both extra-point tries in Monday's 17-16 win over the New Orleans Saints. The 36-year-old connected on a 21-yard field goal attempt during the first quarter. Succop's field goal was the team's only points with under four minutes remaining in the game. Tom Brady led the Bucs to two touchdowns in the team's final two possessions. Brady connected with Rachaad White for a six-yard touchdown with seconds remaining to tie the game 16-16. Succop connected on the game-winning extra point to give the Bucs the victory. He is 24-for-27 on field goal tries this season. The veteran has tallied 11 total points over the last three weeks but remains a solid streamer against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 14.--Brad Camara - RotoBallerSource: Pro Football Focus
Share:
7 hours agoTampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Russell Gage caught his only target for an 11-yard gain in the 17-16 come-from-behind win over the New Orleans Saints on Monday night. Gage was playing for the first time since Week 7 due to a hamstring injury, so it shouldn't have been a huge surprise that he played a season-low 32 percent of the offensive snaps. The 26-year-old had a lot of fantasy intrigue when he initially signed with the Bucs in the offseason, but the eventual addition of veteran Julio Jones quickly stamped that out. Gage has dealt with injuries and has been merely a complementary option in Tampa's passing attack in 2022, catching 30 of 41 targets for 242 yards and one touchdown in eight games played.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com
