3 days agoIt's funny that every year at the NBA Draft, once the end of the guaranteed money and live appearances arrives at the end of the first round, everybody tunes out and refers to the 60th pick as "Mr. Irrelevant." That's not very accurate though, is it? Speaking historically, read more...

3 months agoThe Indiana Pacers announced on Thursday that power forward/center Isaiah Jackson won't be logging anymore minutes at this year's Summer League. Jackson was a bit of a surprising addition to the team's Summer League roster as he had a productive rookie year in 2021-22 when he was healthy. Across his three Summer League outings, he averaged 8.3 rebounds and 3.3 blocks per game. In his final game on Tuesday, he didn't miss a single shot from the field, shooting 7-for-7 on the way to 14 points.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBallerSource: James Boyd

6 months agoIn a somewhat surprising development, the Indiana Pacers will have Goga Bitadze (foot), Oshae Brissett (back) and Isaiah Jackson (head) all available for Friday night's game against the Boston Celtics. All three had been listed as questionable going into the day. Bitadze is the only player from the trio of big men who played in the team's last two games. Brissett has missed the last two contests with lower back soreness and Jackson has only played in one game since March 15, when he suffered a concussion. All three of these players are suddenly a bit risky for fantasy purposes, as is Jalen Smith, who has been regularly suiting up lately. Bitadze and Smith are the safest options, in that order. Brissett would be next. Jackson had been looking great in early March, but he's tough to trust in his return.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBallerSource: Scott Agness
Share:
6 months agoIndiana Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon (rest) and center Isaiah Jackson (head) have been ruled out for Wednesday night's game against the Denver Nuggets. Meanwhile, point guard Duane Washington Jr. (hip) and center Goga Bitadze (foot) will be active for the game and both players should see a good amount of run. This will be Brogdon's sixth consecutive missed game as the team continues to rest him. Jackson, meanwhile, has missed four of the last five games after sustaining a concussion a little over a week ago.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBallerSource: James Boyd
Share:
6 months agoIndiana Pacers center Isaiah Jackson (headaches) won't play on Monday against the Hawks. The 20-year-old suffered a concussion over a week ago. However, he's now dealing with residual headaches, relegating him to only six minutes of work over the last five games. Goga Bitadze (foot) is questionable, so if he doesn't play either, Jalen Smith will be a sought-after fantasy commodity, and rightfully so.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
7 months agoIndiana Pacers center Isaiah Jackson (headache) won't suit up for Saturday's game against the Toronto Raptors. Jackson can't seem to catch a break as he only played seven minutes on Wednesday. He sat out of Thursday's contest and won't play on Saturday. Jackson has played well whenever he's healthy, but he's rarely on the court now. Jalen Smith (illness) and Goga Bitadze (foot) are both questionable for this contest, but will be strong streaming options if they can play.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
7 months agoIndiana Pacers center Isaiah Jackson (head) has been ruled out for the remainder of Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. The Pacers have stated that Jackson came down with a headache. This is a concerning development considering he suffered a concussion a week ago and had to miss each of the team's last two games because of it. He only logged seven minutes in Wednesday's game before departing. Starting center Goga Bitadze got off to a great start to the game and he should be set for a strong finish with Jackson out.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBallerSource: Scott Agness
Share:
7 months agoIndiana Pacers centers Isaiah Jackson (head) and Goga Bitadze (foot) will both be active for Wednesday night's game against the Sacramento Kings. Jackson missed the team's last two games while going through the league's concussion protocol. Bitadze, meanwhile, is hampered by a foot injury. He played through the injury on Sunday and scored 12 points on 6-of-10 shooting over 24 minutes. The Pacers will be without Jalen Smith (illness) for Wednesday's game, so both Jackson and Bitadze are worthy starters in just about all fantasy formats, with Jackson being the more enticing of the pair.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBallerSource: Scott Agness
Share:
7 months agoIndiana Pacers center Isaiah Jackson (concussion) isn't available for Sunday's meeting against the visiting Portland Trail Blazers. The 20-year-old will now miss his second consecutive outing. Fortunately, the Pacers won't have another game until Wednesday versus Sacramento, so hopefully, with some added rest, he will be back by then. Nonetheless, Jalen Smith (head contusion) and Goga Bitadze (foot) are questionable, so Oshae Brissett and Terry Taylor may be in line for more work.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
7 months agoIndiana Pacers center Isaiah Jackson (head) won't play during Friday's game against the Houston Rockets. This is a tough blow with Goga Bitadze (foot) uncertain to play as well. Jackson heads into concussion protocol, so he could very well miss multiple games. In the meantime, Jalen Smith could be looking at significant playing time. He has played well since joining the Pacers at the trade deadline. Fantasy managers should check the waiver wire and see if Smith is available.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Pacers
Share:
7 months agoIndiana Pacers centers Isaiah Jackson (ankle) and Goga Bitadze (foot) are listed as probable for Friday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Jackson has appeared in one game this month, but he was a fantasy asset when healthy. He should have no shortage of minutes, assuming he can stay healthy. Fantasy managers should check the waiver wire and see if Jackson is available. Jalen Smith and Oshae Brissett are expected to lose playing time with Bitadze returning. Bitadze and Jackson are the main priorities in the frontcourt for Indiana right now.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
7 months agoIndiana Pacers center Isaiah Jackson (ankle) was able to get through Wednesday's practice, according to head coach Rick Carlisle. Jackson played in one of the final eight games before the All-Star break. However, Jackson has plenty of upside with Myles Turner (foot) remaining sidelined. Jackson was playing well enough to roster in most formats, but it's uncertain if he can stay healthy. Jalen Smith, Goga Bitadze, and Oshae Brissett should all benefit if Jackson misses more time. Fantasy managers should consider Jackson as questionable for Friday's contest. Brissett and Smith could have some short term streaming appeal if Jackson remains out.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Indiana Pacers
Share:
8 months agoIndiana Pacers center Isaiah Jackson (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Washington Wizards. This marks the third game in a row that Jackson has missed due to a right ankle sprain. The hope is that Jackson will be able to return after the All-Star break. Until then, fantasy managers should expect Goga Bitadze and Jalen Smith to split up the playing time. Smith is the slightly better fantasy option between the two big men.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
8 months agoIndiana Pacers center Isaiah Jackson (ankle) will be sidelined once again for Tuesday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Jackson is dealing with a right ankle sprain. He was out for over a week before briefly returning to action last Friday. In that return, he re-injured his ankle and he hasn't played since. While Jackson remains out, the Pacers have three big men with varying fantasy value. Oshae Brissett is locked into the starting lineup right now and has been fantastic in two straight games. Goga Bitadze has been seeing a good amount of action, but hasn't done much. New addition Jalen Smith logged a double-double in the team's most recent game, playing 23 minutes off the bench. Smith figures to be a hot DFS name to consider on Tuesday with Jackson out.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
Share:
8 months agoIndiana Pacers center Isaiah Jackson (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He re-aggravated his right ankle issue during Friday's contest. He lasted only 12 minutes during that game, but scored 11 points before exiting. It's a shame since Jackson has been playing fairly well whenever he gets a chance. In the meantime, Goga Bitadze and Jalen Smith will get more playing time. Smith appears to have slightly more fantasy value, but neither are great fantasy contributors right now.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: NBA Injury Report
