Zach Wilson Still Not 100 Percent
3 years agoNew York Jets rookie first-round quarterback Zach Wilson (knee) said his knee is "definitely not 100%" despite returning to practice this week. Wilson will miss his third straight game in Week 10 against the Buffalo Bills with a sprained right knee. With backup Mike White performing well in Wilson's absence, head coach Robert Saleh has declined to say whether Wilson will regain the starting job when he's healthy. Wilson was struggling before his injury, and the Jets plan to ride with White as long as he continues to play well. In five quarters, White has thrown for 500 yards and four touchdowns in the last two games. White has been a fun story since he took over for Wilson, but the Jets long-term plan still involves Wilson under center. White's recent play, if anything, has given the team the luxury of not rushing Wilson back from his injury.
