Zac Gallen Struggles Again in Loss
Zac Gallen's nightmarish first half of the season continued Wednesday in a 7-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox. The former All-Star fell to 5-9 after allowing five earned runs on eight hits, including two homers, and one walk in 5 1/3 innings. Gallen totaled only two strikeouts in his fourth straight subpar outing. The 29-year-old has already coughed up four or more earned runs 11 times in 17 starts. As a result, Gallen owns an undesirable 5.75 ERA through 97 innings. Although Gallen had a quality track record before this season, he's not someone either the Diamondbacks or fantasy managers can count on at this point. He's slated to face the San Francisco Giants on July 1.
