Zac Gallen Sharp on Tuesday Against the Braves
Zac Gallen (4-7) had a strong outing on Tuesday against the Braves. He went seven innings, allowed three runs (one earned), four hits, one walk, and struck out four. In a moment where the Diamondbacks needed a strong pitching performance after the news of Corbin Burnes, Gallen stepped up and got the job done. It's been a disappointing season for Gallen, as he owns a 5.13 ERA in 73 2/3 innings pitched. However, the 29-year-old does have a 3.44 career ERA and owns a 3.88 xERA in 2025, indicating that some positive regression may be on the horizon. What has been most concerning is his K/9 is down (8.55) and his BB/9 is up (4.03), both of which are career worsts for him. Next up for Gallen is a tough matchup in Cincinnati against the Reds this upcoming Sunday.
