Yusei Kikuchi To Be Skipped Tuesday
6 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Yusei Kikuchi will have his scheduled start on Tuesday skipped. The rookie left-hander is 3-3 on the season with a 4.43 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 50 strikeouts in 67 innings over his first 13 starts in the big leagues. The M's came into the season knowing that they would try to limit the Japanese southpaw's innings once a month, so this shouldn't come as a big shock to fantasy owners. He's also struggled a bit more in his last two outings, too, allowing 10 earned runs and 20 hits (three homers) for a 13.50 ERA in his last two starts over 6 2/3 innings pitched. Hopefully this little break will get him back on track heading into June.
