Yoenis Cespedes Could Begin Rehab Games Next Week
6 years agoNew York Mets general manager John Ricco said that the team hopes outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (hip, quadriceps) can play in minor league games during the All-Star break next week. That means that Cespedes could be back with the team shortly after the break, assuming he doesn't have any setbacks. He's been out since May and has a .255/.316/.474 slash line with eight home runs, 23 RBI, three steals and 18 runs scored in just 37 games. Cespedes is an injury headache and can go on ugly cold streaks, but he can get just as hot and carry a fantasy team. For that reason alone he should be stashed in all formats.
