X-Rays Negative on Brandon Woodruff's Elbow
Brandon Woodruff's right elbow came back negative after he was hit by a comebacker in his minor-league rehab start with Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday evening. Woodruff will still head back to Milwaukee for more testing, but it appears for now that he's avoided a potentially serious injury. The veteran hurler is officially being diagnosed with a right-elbow contusion for now, which could once again delay his 2025 debut. Woodruff didn't pitch at all last year after having right-shoulder surgery in November of 2023. He was nearing a return last month being ankle tendinitis pushed him back. Now he's dealing with an elbow contusion. It's been a wild ride for fantasy managers stashing the former ace, but everyone should continue to hold onto him with a return potentially right around the corner.
