With the 15th overall selection in the 2018 MLB Amateur draft, the Texas Rangers selected 18-year-old right-handed pitcher Cole Winn out of Orange Lutheran High School as a senior. Standing at 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, Winn looks to be a long-term project for the Rangers. Winn holds scouting grades of a 60 fastball, 55 slider, 50 changeup and 55 control and boasts stamina that can send him deep into games. Winn ranks as one of the top prospects out of high school in this draft and will commit to Texas Christian University. The Rangers rank 26th in MILB's Pitcher Farm System Rankings and will compete with Hans Crouse and Cole Ragans in the system.--CadenRead More News
