During qualifying for the AdventHealth 400, William Byron scraped the wall and ended up with a starting position of 36th. This is the lowest starting position for Byron in his Cup career at Kansas as well as his lowest for the year so far. In 12 Kansas races in his career, Byron has seven top-10 finishes, which were all collected in his last nine races there. Through 11 races so far in 2024, Byron has three wins and seven top-10 finishes, which is tied for the most of all drivers. This includes top-10 finishes at both 1.5-mile Intermediate tracks this year (Las Vegas and Texas). In practice, Byron was one of the fastest drivers in the field, as he ranked first in 10 and 20 consecutive lap averages, fourth in overall lap averages, and second in all other categories. With his starting position being at the rear of the field, fantasy players should feel excited about rostering Byron since he will have incredible Place Differential upside.
