Limit Your Exposure To William Byron This Weekend In DFS
9 months agoFresh off a victory last weekend at COTA, William Byron will start 13th in the Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond Raceway, ending his streak of consecutive top-10 starts at Richmond at four races. Despite having strong starting positions in the four previous races at this venue, the seven-year Cup veteran has struggled to maintain track position, averaging 14.25 for his finishing position and 42.06 points for his DraftKings score. While these results aren't terrible, they are underwhelming, particularly given that his salary is $10,500 on DraftKings for this weekend's race. It should also be noted that the 26-year-old has had similar mediocre results at other short tracks in recent years. In the 11 short track races in the Next Gen car (Bristol Dirt excluded), the Hendrick Motorsports star is averaging 43.07 DraftKings points, which is 12th in the series. Although you should never fully fade a racer the caliber of William Byron, you do need to temper your expectations and limit your exposure to no more than 10% of your lineup builds this weekend in DFS.
