Wade LeBlanc Takes Hot Streak Into Friday Start
6 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Wade LeBlanc will be coming off of one of his best starts of the season when he takes the mound against the Angels on Friday. LeBlanc dazzled last week with 7 1/3 innings of one-run baseball and a career-high 10 strikeouts against the White Sox. LeBlanc has surrendered five home runs over his last 24 2/3 innings but has limited the damage around that to post a 3.65 ERA in the month of July. LeBlanc has emerged as a fixture in the Mariners rotation and appears to be over a patch of bad starts that occurred in late June. LeBlanc is now 6-1 on the season with 3.44 ERA and a 1.13 WHIP through 96 2/3 innings pitched. Friday night, however, will present some challenges as the left-hander will be try to lock down his first road win of the season when he takes the ball in Anaheim. LeBlanc is 0-1 with a 4.58 ERA in six starts away from Safeco Field this season.
