Tyus Jones Lands In Washington In Three-Team Trade
1 year agoThe Washington Wizards picked up Tyus Jones from the Memphis Grizzlies in a three-team trade Wednesday, sending Kristaps Porzingis to Boston. Memphis replaced the Los Angeles Clippers in the deal surrounding Porzingis after doubts emerged regarding Malcolm Brogdon's health. Jones was reportedly unhappy with his role in Memphis, as he's made only 45 starts across the last two campaigns. The 27-year-old point guard has proven himself as a very useful player as a starter and should now fill the role regularly in D.C. Jones averaged 16.4 points, 4.0 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.8 steals as a member of the starting unit last season.
