Tyrod Taylor 2018 Outlook: A Dangerous Dual-Threat With Plenty Of Options
6 years agoIt had appeared the Cleveland Browns rescued Tyrod Taylor from the circus that was the Buffalo Bills. After an up and down season that saw Taylor sent to the bench, only to find his way into the starting lineup again, the Browns brought Taylor in to lead their team in 2018. Now we just need to wait and see how long of a leash he will have this year.
Normally it’s never a good thing to have the number one overall pick barking at your heals and Taylor will be looking over his shoulder all season. Fantasy owners could find a real bargain however with Taylor. Don’t forget, Taylor finished as the QB8 in 2016 with far less options than what he will have in 2018. The Browns have dynamic weapons all over the field and Taylor will benefit greatly from wide open areas to run. During his three seasons in Buffalo, Taylor averaged 525 yards rushing and just over four rushing touchdowns. If Taylor plays the entire season, he could be an extremely efficient QB1. If he plays the entire season will be the key stat though. Baker Mayfield will want something to say about that.
