Tyrion Davis-Price Could Have Increased Role

San Francisco 49ers running back Tyrion Davis-Price was often times lost in the shuffle during this past season. He missed time due to a high-ankle sprain, which resulted in him only playing in six games. Despite that, Matt Barrows of The Athletic believes the organization is more enthusiastic about Davis-Price than they were of Trey Sermon. It's no secret that Davis-Price will have a tough path to playing time. Christian McCaffrey will be the lead back with Elijah Mitchell as likely the primary backup. That being said, Davis-Price will probably have to compete with Jordan Mason for the third-string spot. The 49ers saw the injuries pile up last season, so they could very well hang on to Davis-Price because they do see potential in him. However, it's unlikely that he's going to have fantasy value in San Francisco as long as McCaffrey and Mitchell are healthy.
