Steelers to Make Brian Angelichio Their New Offensive Coordinator
The Pittsburgh Steelers are finalizing a deal to hire Minnesota Vikings passing-game coordinator/tight ends coach Brian Angelichio as their new offensive coordinator, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. Angelichio will reunite with new Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy after the two previously worked together with the Green Bay Packers. Under McCarthy in Green Bay, Angelichio was the Packers' TEs coach for three seasons. Although this will be his first OC job, Angelichio has been an NFL coach for almost 20 years with six different teams. McCarthy will most likely call the offensive plays in his first year as the Steelers' head coach. The Steelers have plenty of question marks on offense going into next season, particularly at the quarterback position, but the addition of Angelichio as OC should be good news for tight end Pat Freiermuth's 2026 fantasy value.
