Ty Johnson Struggles In Preseason Opener
Ty Johnson wasn't able to get much going on the ground during Saturday's preseason opener against the New York Giants. He rushed nine times for 33 yards and hauled in two receptions for seven yards through the air. Johnson had some success with the Jets last season. He averaged 4.7 yards per carry in a limited role through 11 games in New York. Despite his limited success, Johnson is going to have to fight for his playing time in 2021. There doesn't appear to be a front runner for the backup running back role right now. This performance certainly doesn't help his stock, but it's unlikely that Johnson would be helpful in 12-team leagues anyway.
