Twins Placing Bailey Ober on 15-Day Injured List With Hip Impingement
Bailey Ober (hip) on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday with a left-hip impingement and recalling left-hander Kody Funderburk from Triple-A St. Paul in a corresponding move, according to Minneapolis Star Tribune's Phil Miller. It's unclear who will take Ober's start on Friday against the Tampa Bay Rays. The hip injury could help explain why Ober has coughed up seven runs in three of is last four starts to raise his season ERA to 5.28 and his WHIP to 1.41 in 92 innings over his 17 starts for the Twins. The 29-year-old hasn't been of much help in fantasy with only 74 punchouts and a 4-6 record. Given his struggles in 2025, the Twins probably won't be in a rush to bring him back to the rotation in the second half of the season until they're sure he's 100% healthy. In addition to Ober, starters Pablo Lopez and Zebby Matthews are currently on the IL.
