5 years agoOver a week has passed since the Washington Redskins gave left tackle Trent Williams permission to seek a trade, and there is no sense that anything is close. According to sources, the Redskins are seeking a second-round pick for Williams in a trade, but at that asking price nothing is expected to get done. On top of it, the seven-time Pro Bowl left tackle wants a new deal if he's traded, and he's seeking around $20 million per season. It's a lot for a player that will be 32 this summer and who sat out all of the 2019 season, but when healthy, Williams is one of the best blind-side protectors in the NFL.
