Trent Williams Seeking $20 Million Per Season
5 years agoWashington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams is seeking a contract extension that will pay him $20 million per season, according to ESPN.com's John Keim. It's a really high asking price since he'll turn 32 this summer and didn't play at all in 2019, but some teams might be willing to trade for him if they can get him for a mid-round pick. Washington gave Williams permission to seek a trade last week, a sign that they themselves aren't willing to meet his high contract demands. When healthy, the seven-time Pro Bowler is one of the best blind-side protectors in the game. Quarterback Dwayne Haskins could really use one of those in his first full season as the starting quarterback in 2020.
